LIFE DRAWING STUDIO

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am currently enrolled in the 8 week figure studio session through the Kansas City Art Institute.  The instruction free session meets each Thursday from 6 to 9 PM.  Models vary, but each adheres to roughly the same schedule - multiple 30 second to one minute poses, working up to 5 minutes to invariably 25-30 minutes poses.  I have and will be working with pencil, charcoal, chalk pastel and watercolor (paint introduced in later sessions).  I will post my work below after each session.

June 18th, 2009:  First four images are 30 seconds to 1 minute in length.  Two several five minute poses, then several 25 minute poses.  Last two are 30 minutes each.

June 25th, 2009:  First three pages are 30 second to 1 minute poses.  Then five to ten minutes.  Last sets are 25 minutes.  Last two poses I was wrapping up for the night.  Model was in the same pose for 30 minutes, but I spent half the time drawing him with purple and black chalk and the second half drawing with imagined skeletal structure.
